About Mudgee Vocal Studio
Ashleigh Lang has created Mudgee Vocal Studio (MVS) to bring proper vocal technique to all students in Mudgee and its surrounding areas.
MVS aims to promote the enjoyment of singing whilst preparing students for exams and competition, and also to give students the skills needed to succeed in the music industry.
MVS aims to teach students vocal technique and pedagogy, musicianship and aural skills, and knowledge of performance practice.
In the future MVS students and MVS Youth Choir will hold regular concerts. MVS will be encouraging students towards AMEB examinations and regional eisteddfods.
Ashleigh Lang has majored in Classical Voice since the age of 15 and has participated in numerous exams and eisteddfods, placing first in Armidale Vocal open Championship in 2012.
Ashleigh has completed a 4 year Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Teaching at the University of New England and has also completed an early childhood Kodaly certificate 1. Most recently she has commenced a Post-graduate degree in Inclusive and Special Education Majoring in Behaviour and Emotional Disturbance.
Ashleigh is in the process to complete an Certificate of Performance AMEB exam. She also currently works as a teacher at Mudgee High School where she fill various positions and runs a Secondary Vocal Ensemble.
Ashleigh has sung in various vocal groups including the Mimosa choir that were apart of Opera in the Paddock, Inverell. Currently she participates with Mudgee’s Cudgegong Choir and has previously sung various solos with the choir. Most recently, Ashleigh performed the National Anthem at the Mudgee Wanderers soccer match in 2018.
